What Does the Society Do?

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to the poor. This aid may take the form of intervention, advocacy, consultation, or direct financial aid. A unique feature of SVDP is its commitment to "home visits" for those who ask for help. By listening to the poor in their homes, SVDP offers a listening ear and friendship. This allows SVDP to help in areas the family may not have previously expressed.
