Restoring Dignity Through Compassion and Service
At the Alfred-Washburn Center, we believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and love. As a ministry of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, our mission is to serve the homeless and those struggling with poverty in the Pensacola community—offering not just basic necessities, but hope and compassion. Come by today and experience the care and dignity we provide.
The Alfred-Washburn Center is a ministry of St. Vincent de Paul serving the homeless and poorer members of our community. The facility provides food, showers, laundry facilities, and homeless ID cards to its guests. These services are provided free of charge. Our goal is to give back the basic human dignity that God has given all of us.
What We Do
Every day, our volunteers open the doors of the Alfred-Washburn Center to provide comfort and care through essential services such as:
- Hot meals
- Showers and laundry facilities
- Clothing assistance
- Identification cards
All services are offered free of charge to anyone in need—because everyone deserves a place to feel seen, respected, and cared for. Visit us today and let us help you meet your needs and regain hope.
How We’re Supported
The Center is funded by the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores and Conferences, along with generous private and corporate donations. These contributions make it possible to continue providing life-changing assistance to those who need it most.
Powered by Volunteers
We are a 100% volunteer organization—a community of caring individuals who believe in giving their time and hearts in service to others. The only requirement to volunteer is a genuine desire to help and bring dignity to our brothers and sisters in need. Visit us and join our team of volunteers to make a difference today.
Get Involved
Whether you’d like to volunteer, donate, or simply spread the word, your involvement helps us continue this mission of compassion and faith. Together, we can restore hope and human dignity—one act of kindness at a time. Come
